Steps to getting your instruction permit.

Student's are eligible up to 10 days before the course start date.

WE NEED THE STUDENT'S WA DRIVER LICENSE BEFORE YOU CAN GET A PERMIT.

Getting a Permit or State Testing

You must apply for a License Express account at dol.wa.gov.

This will provide your WDL (driver license) number.  You will need this number when:

  • Taking a State Licensing Knowledge or Drive test.
  • Registering for a Driver Education Class.
