DOL Drive Test :: $40

DOL ROAD TEST:

A VALID DOL Knowledge Exam Score is required prior to a Drive Exam. Knowledge Exam scores are valid for 2 years.

Skills exams are $40 In a personal Vehicle.
If you need to use a school vehicle it is an additional $15. Payable at the time of the test.

A $40 deposit is required to secure your spot.

Cancellations and rescheduling require 24 hours notice or you will forfeit your $40 deposit.

If the applicant is bringing a vehicle for the test, the following is required. If you do not bring the proper documents, you will lose you testing appointment and fee.

The vehicle must be legally licensed and registered. If the tabs expire the same month as taking the test: bring in the registration for the vehicle. The examiner will have to check the date of expiration.
You must present a valid insurance card for the vehicle when checking in for your test.
All brakes, brake lights, turn signals, tires, seat belts, and windshield wipers will be checked before the test begins. The 3rd brake light must work.
Driver side window must roll down and passenger door must open.
Passengers are not allowed in the vehicle during the test. ***The hearing impaired may have an interpreter.

Knowledge Exam :: $36

State Knowledge Exam for Instruction Permit or Driver License. 40 question multiple choice exam, you must get 80% or higher to pass. All of the questions are from the WA State Driver Guide. Available at www.dol.wa.gov. In the search bar type: driver guide.

Please fill in all information on the registeration page except the parent/guardian information. This is the information required for filling your testing form out and will save time checking you in. You must present your ID when you arrive to test.

All tests must be prepaid to hold your seat. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for knowledge tests. If you do not cancel your apppointment, you will lose your testing fee.

Walk-in testing is available on the day of scheduled test.

Defensive Driving Class

This is a 4 hour traffic safety course for ticket deferred prosecution and people who would like to potentially see a decrease in insurance premuims.

This class is based on Target Zero. A unique class developed by Central Washington Driving School registered with the Department of Licensing Catalog #00-51. Target Zero is Washington State's goal of having zero fatalities by the year 2030. We will look at what causes most of our collisions in our state and talk about strategies to help your family reach Target Zero.

5 hours of Driving Instruction

4 hours of Drive Simulation

A minimum of 1 hour of Observation (Observation watching another student's lesson from the back seat of instruction car).

Parent Meeting: This meeting is mandatory. Parent meetings are generally held one hour before or after the first scheduled class meeting.

PERMITS: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO TO THE DOL TO GET YOUR PERMIT UNTIL YOU PROVIDE CWDS WITH THE STUDENT'S WDL NUMBER. YOU MUST VISIT www.dol.wa.gov AND PRE-APPLY FOR YOUR INSTRUCTION PERMIT.

Skills Review & DOL Drive Test

SKILLS REVIEW & DOL DRIVE TEST - $90.00

This package includes a 30 minutes skills review and the drive test. It is scheduled for one hour. The review/ test is in CWDS vehicle only. It is required that you have a valid Instruction Permit for the 30-minute practice session.
